EXCORA

Conceptual

A permissioned signal layer, described as a concept

Nothing described on this page is operating today. It exists to make the research questions concrete, so participants can tell us whether the idea is useful, insufficient, or wrong.

Sequence

What an exchange could look like

  1. 01

    An organization observes something

A device goes out of service, a safe approaches capacity, demand moves.

  2. 02

It chooses a signal and a recipient

A short, standard code and the single counterparty permitted to see it.

  3. 03

The recipient receives it before their cutoff

In time to accept, decline, or say the service is already scheduled.

  4. 04

    The response closes the loop

Both sides know the state of the request. Nothing else is disclosed.

Vocabulary

A deliberately small set of signals

Illustrative signal vocabulary under research
SignalMeaning

DEMAND_FALLINGCash demand is decreasing.
SERVICE_ACCEPTEDResponse: the request will be served.
SERVICE_DECLINEDResponse: the request cannot be served.
ALREADY_SCHEDULEDResponse: service is already planned.
CANNOT_ACCOMMODATEResponse: no capacity for this request.
SERVICE_COMPLETEDResponse: the service has been performed.

Boundaries

What it would and would not do

What it would never carry

  • cardholder information
  • account information
  • transaction-level customer data
  • exact live balances by default
  • ATM security information
  • lock combinations
  • alarm information
  • route details
  • crew details
  • vehicle GPS
  • credentials

What it would not replace

  • forecasting systems
  • CIT route optimization
  • ATM monitoring
  • bank cash-management platforms
  • CIT dispatch software

A signal layer would sit beside existing systems, carrying only the minimum needed for one counterparty to act in time.
