EXCORA

Product

A neutral coordination and evidence layer for operational decisions that cross organizational boundaries.

EXCORA is being designed to exchange the minimum actionable operational signal between organizations, rather than requiring anyone to expose entire datasets.

Keep your data.

Share what is needed to act.

The data may already exist. The problem is getting the minimum necessary information to the authorized organization in time to act.

EXCORA is being designed to communicate the minimum actionable operational signal without requiring organizations to surrender their underlying datasets. Each organization retains control of its own information.

Proposed workflow

Five steps between existing systems

  1. 01

    Detect

An organization's existing systems identify an operational change or emerging need.

  2. 02

    Signal

EXCORA converts that event into a standardized, minimal operational signal.

  3. 03

    Share

The signal is securely delivered only to the authorized counterparty that needs it.

  4. 04

    Respond

The recipient can acknowledge, accept, decline, indicate the service is already scheduled, or report that the request cannot be accommodated.

  5. 05

    Measure

EXCORA records whether earlier information changed the operational outcome.

Architecture

Keep your data. Share what is needed to act.

EXCORA is being developed as a potential neutral coordination layer for the physical cash ecosystem. It explores whether authorized organizations can exchange the minimum operational information needed to coordinate action, without requiring either party to surrender its underlying data.

Standards

Designed to work with existing standards

EXCORA is not intended to replace industry data standards. EXCORA is being designed to work with existing and emerging industry identifiers, standards and data formats where appropriate.

Bodies such as Conexxus and GS1 are named only as examples of the existing landscape. No endorsement, partnership, certification or compatibility with any standard or organization is claimed or implied.

Boundaries

A coordination layer, not a replacement

EXCORA does not replace

  • - forecasting systems
  • - CIT route optimization
  • - ATM monitoring
  • - bank cash-management platforms
  • - CIT dispatch software

Organizations keep ownership of their underlying data.

Signals never carry

  • - cardholder information
  • - account information
  • - transaction-level customer data
  • - exact live balances by default
  • - ATM security information
  • - lock combinations
  • - alarm information
  • - route details
  • - crew details
  • - vehicle GPS
  • - credentials
